Church should always be about the people and not the premises. We believe that we are a family together before God.

Some of the people who lead our family are;

Stuart has been associated with the Church since 1990 and has been minister since 200. He is passionate about inner city ministry and seeing the Kingdom of God come in all its power to the poor in the UK and abroad.

Along with Liz, Stuart is involved in New Wine as a Network leader and as part of the North and East leadership team. s.gregg@buttershawbaptist.org.uk


Joan Parker has been connected with Buttershaw Baptist for even longer than Stuart. A deacon, Church treasurer, member of the family centre management commitee and a translator for the Foreign Office, Joan was meant to have retired 3 years ago but we can't stop her !

Helen Syrop is a deacon of the Church as well as being the director of Hope Housing. Helen helps to lead 2CQ, the Church youth group as well as being a worship leader and a busy Mum.
